Renovating a house or apartment in Bosnia and Herzegovina: from plan to execution

A good renovation starts with a plan, not with demolition. We help you decide what is needed, in which order to invest and how to coordinate contractors, whether you are in Sarajevo or abroad.

What a renovation with an architect includes

  1. Assessment of the condition of the property and definition of goals
  2. Spatial planning and, where needed, reconstruction
  3. Energy-efficient solutions and choice of materials
  4. Detailed drawings and specifications for contractors
  5. Oversight of construction and coordination with contractors

The order of investments

Not everything has to be done at once. It often pays to deal first with what affects everything else, such as heating, insulation and installations, and only then the finishing. In our journal we explain what this looks like for an old house in Bosnia.

Renovating from abroad

Many clients renovate a parental home or an apartment from Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Conversations, presentations and decisions happen by video call, and we oversee the work on site.
